Linden
Here are some highlights of Romola’s advocacy and work for our community in Linden:
In this term of Council, Romola has:
• worked closely residents, Council and National Parks and Wildlife Service to address the impacts of increased visitation to Paradise Pool by delivering new ‘no parking’ signage in Caley’s Lane and a new car park at the entrance to Paradise pool in Railway Parade.
• called for Council to investigate creating a Dark Sky Park in the Blue Mountains to protect our starry skies which led to Council providing support for the historic Linden Observatory to gain Dark Sky accreditation
• supported community calls for 40km zone in Linden by taking a motion to the LGNSW conference calling on the State Government to change its rules and provide for 40km zones on local roads that are shared with pedestrians.
If re-elected, Romola will:
• work with the local community to improve the shade over the playground in Linden Park
• continue to be a strong local and active voice for the community of Linden and the people of Ward 2.
