Here are some highlights of Romola’s advocacy and work for our community in Wentworth Falls:
In this term of Council, Romola has listened and taken action on residents' priorities. She has:
- advocated for the fast-tracked delivery of the new playground at Wentworth Falls Lake
- championed improved amenities at Wentworth Falls Lake include extension of the accessible paths
- advocated for funding and repairs of the iconic Charles Darwin Walk
- advocated for measures to protect the environment and residential amenity at Lincoln’s Rock
- worked closely with residents on options for better parking arrangements at South Wentworth Falls including calling on Council and the National Parks and Wildlife Services to work together to find solutions that minimise impacts on local residential streets
- advocated for renewal of the footpaths at Wentworth Falls Village
- supported BentArt’s installation of new lighting at the Wentworth Falls School of Arts.
If re-elected, Romola will:
- continue to advocate for funding to complete the loop walk around the lake
- ensure effective consultation processes for the upcoming restoration of Charles Darwin Walk
- be a strong voice opposing the proposed development of the Zoo at the bottom of Bodington Hill which threatens our environment and the protection of our land between towns in Ward 2
- continue to be a strong local and active voice for the community of Wentworth Falls and the people of Ward 2.
