Here are some highlights of Romola’s advocacy and work for our community in Woodford:

In this term of Council, Romola has:
• worked with local community members to advocate the protection and restoration of the Woodford Footbridge over the railway line at Woodford – this has included putting forward notices of motion at Council and supporting the Woodford Footbridge’s listing on Council’s local heritage register.
• called for Council to maintain the Woodford Reserve and implement its heritage interpretation. In response, Council now regularly mows and maintains the Woodford Reserve and heritage interpretation was delivered in 2019.
• actively supported the Woodford Academy by providing letters of support for their valuable work.

If re-elected, Romola will:
• pursue safer pedestrian access, particularly along Railway Parade, Park Road and Leumah Road
• support the ongoing campaign to protect the Woodford footbridge
• continue to be a strong local and active voice for the community of Woodford and the people of Ward 2.
